West Indies beat Sri Lanka in 1st Test by 226 runs

Roston Chase and Devendra Bishoo stars with the ball as West Indies decimate Sri Lanka in 1st Test by 26 runs at Port of Spain. Chase took four wickets with his off-spin while Bishoo’s picked up three wickets to secure a huge margin win for the West Indies.

Chasing an almost imposible target of 453, Sri Lankan crashed from 189 for three to 226 all out just after lunch, and suffered their first Test match defeat at the hands of the Caribbean side after ten years.

It was Mendis who was fighting alone for the visitors and played an incredible knock in the second innings as he score and amazing test hundred. But Just after his century Gabriel dismiss him on 102 with a good length delivery.

Mendis wicket opend the door for the West Indies and after that Caribbean bowlers didn’t waste much to time to wrap up Lankan resistance and bundled them out in 226. Both Windies spinners bowled amazing spell of spin bowling in the final session, as Sri Lanka lost their last five wickets for just eight runs. Chase finished with 4 for 15 and Bishoo comes with 3 for 48.
